'Tis the season... Christmas decorating galore for an opening of a hospital!

As the title reads, Christmas decorating galore for an opening of a hospital. This is the latest project that I've been working on! I was asked to design and decorate a new hospital tower with Holiday/Christmas decor, which is scheduled to open next week! Christmas trees, ornaments, garlands, glitter and lights are just a glimpse into what the past few weeks have been about. Oh and did I mention Christmas trees??? Yes, I did! The fun part of this project is that each Christmas tree is thematically different from the next. Stay tuned for the photographs coming soon!

Ester and Raffi's Wedding

Romantic with a classy touch, describes this wedding! Ester, as a designer herself, did not want to go with the traditional florist for her wedding. Originally, contemplating between another florist and myself for her wedding, she ended up going with her first choice, me! Ester came in with ideas of how she envisioned her wedding arrangements to be. She wanted her arrangements to consist of red roses in a pavee look. As she was informing me, I was already visioning and formulating the design,with a fusion of ideas. Generally, I like to incorporate other details of the wedding day that a client brings in, into my design. For example, I asked Ester to tell me what her invitations looked like and they had crystal details on them, so I incorporated that detail into the arrangements. The result, beautiful centerpieces, as seen in the following photographs, consisting of deep red colored roses on custom made Swarovski bases. Although, the deep red roses were the floral focus for this wedding, there were fuschia and white roses, as well as calla lilies, incorported throughout different pieces as well. For example, Ester's bouquet consisted of white roses and calla lilies,which was accented by an elegant crystal brooche.

Lala & Albert @ Castaway - Verdugo Room

When Lala and Albert came to see me for their event a month before their wedding , They both had different Ideas as to how they wanted their wedding to be. Lala wanted something small, cute and colorful and Albert wanted something chic.

Lala and Albert told me that they trust my judgment and therefore, my job as a consultant was to fuse their ideas together and the end result was a bright, chic and fun event.

The arrangements consisted of an eclectic array of flowers; from Roses, Orchids, Hydrangeas and Spider Mums. Each Table included 9 different floral arrangements accompanied by many floating candles. Each place setting was accented by an individual cymbidium orchid.

David Z. designed the floral and the decor for a beautiful and memorable Jewish-Christian wedding, at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, CA.

Our Design Team used more than 5,000 blooms of cream and pink Roses, Hydrangea's and Orchids to create beautiful centerpieces.

BET Awards 2009

Shannon Stanly, who is the BET production manager, has been calling us for the past two years to help with the post show sets. We worked backstage on the sets titled "My Black is Beautiful", which aired right after the BET Awards. The sets were built beautifully with the color scheme of white,pink,blue,and brown. So the Miss Asia USA pageant is right around the corner and we were glad to do the bouquets for this fun event. They split the pageant into two parts, one of which was the fashion show that we attended on May 31 and the other is the actual pageant itself. There are many pictures from the fashion show that I will post up as soon as I receive them and there will many pictures from the pageant that will take place on June 13. Just recently we finished doing a gorgeous wedding in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. The wedding was for Naomi and George at the Xcaret resort. George Pajon Jr. is the talented guitarist and co-songwriter for the Black Eyed Peas. Naomi is a rockstar hairstylist. Their wedding was a multi-day celebration that started off with a casual rooftop cocktail party. Afterwards, guests were treated to dinner at a local restaurant, then shuttled to a private oceanfront beach club where they were entertained by performers. The ceremony was breathtaking as guests were led down a dark jungle path illuminated only by candlelight. This couple's wedding was amazing and will be featured on Platinum Weddings later this year so keep an eye out for it. The following pictures were taken by Andrena Photography.

Ok so I have decided to start blogging about the projects I work on so people will get more of a feel of the kind of work I do and the kind of work I am capable of doing. Last week we just finished up working with TV Guide and doing the arrangments for the movie Terminator. I am hoping to post up pictures pretty soon to show you guys my work.
